As a busy mom to 3 CrAzY kiddos and one adorable dog, I wear many different hats throughout my day. My family lived a very compact life in Chicago for several years until my husband's job brought us to Indiana - where we now have a house and grass! Our home here has been the inspiration for many of my projects, since I was faced to decorate a larger space on a budget. I have grown to become a huge fan of thrift shops, antique stores and Craigslist to find items that I can repurpose and transform into something practical and fun…and maybe pretty, if I'm lucky! I have attempted many crafts and projects - some with success and others...not entirely. These days, when I am not taking care of those three crazy kids or teaching, I am creating something. I love to paint, cut, distress, sew, glue, stain, saw & try to design special, yet practical things that people will love. As an elementary teacher, I have always been drawn to graphic design, typography and customized art. After having my first baby and purchasing birth announcements, I decided to teach myself how to use Photoshop. That led to starting up an on-line custom photo card website that specialized in photo birth announcements, invitations and holiday cards. Then gears switched when we moved from compact living in the city and new technology, power tools and paint brushes found their way into my hands, which inspired me to create different types of art in our new home.
